National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is administered nationally to participating institutions and links to the BCSSE instrument. UC Merced participates on a biennial basis during the winter/spring of odd years. All freshmen and seniors invited to participate in the survey. The 2011 survey instrument applies to 2007-2011 reports; the 2015 survey instrument applies to 2015 and later reports. NSSE was not administered at UC Merced in 2013.

Historical NSSE Data

2015 NSSE Data: The 2015 survey response rate for UC Merced was 14%. Because the response rate was so low, caution should be used when attempting to generalize results to the overall freshmen and senior student populations.
